Whose Idea Was This?

It was looking and feeling a lot like spring.  The mountain jays were back harassing the other birds at the feeder and the robins were hopping all over the lawn looking for worms.  The daffodil bulbs my neighbor put in had come up and were in full glory.  We had guests arrive who had a fly fishing guide taking them out for spring fishing.  So, to everyone's surprise, we woke up to a blanket of snow and it has been snowing on and off all day.
The birds were crowded at the feeder today.  Robins were hopping around on our patio hoping they could come inside.  Despite the snow, the guys headed out for their fishing adventure.  Jim and Zella headed out for their daily afternoon hike with the sun shining, but within an hour it was snowing hard and heavy.  Our black lab was white when they got back and filled the room with wet dog scent.  Our guests got back, stayed warm and had a great time fishing.
Watching the birds in the snow, I imagined the chirped conversation..."whose idea was this to head back so early?"  "The forecast looked good and it was getting pretty warm down south.  People in Phoenix and Tucson were complaining and using their air conditioners."  "Don't look at me, I just followed the flock."
